Spotting what matters…
Effective date: July 23, 2026
You can request deletion of your Remy account and associated data at any time. This page explains how to request deletion, what happens to your data, and what limited information Remy may retain and why.
Choose whichever is available to you:
We verify that a request comes from the registered account owner before processing it. We aim to complete verified deletion requests within 30 days.
Once a deletion request is processed, we work to remove:
If you have a bank account connected through Plaid, deletion includes revoking Remy and Plaid’s access to that connection (Plaid “Item” removal) so no further data can be retrieved. The encrypted access token Remy stores for that connection is deleted along with your account record — Remy never stores your bank login credentials, only an encrypted token used to fetch data on your behalf, and that token is invalidated and removed as part of deletion. If you only want to disconnect a single bank account without deleting your whole Remy account, you can do that anytime from Profile without submitting a deletion request.
Even after your account is deleted, we may retain a limited set of information for a period of time when necessary to:
Any information retained for these purposes is limited to what is reasonably necessary for that purpose and is not used to provide the Remy coaching product to you going forward.
You’re welcome to create a new Remy account with the same or a different email address after your previous account has been deleted, subject to our normal signup process.
If you have questions about the deletion process or want to check the status of a request, contact us at remy@bankwithremy.com. See also our Privacy Policy for more on how we handle your data.
