This Privacy Policy explains how Remy (“Remy,” “we,” “us”) collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use our financial wellness and coaching app. By using Remy, you agree to the practices described here.
If you choose to connect a bank or financial account, Remy uses Plaid, Inc. (“Plaid”) to facilitate that connection. When you connect an account, Plaid collects your bank credentials and shares certain data with Remy in accordance with Plaid’s own privacy policy and your consent at the time of connection, including:
Remy never sees or stores your bank login credentials — those are handled directly by Plaid and your financial institution. You can disconnect a bank account at any time from your Profile, which revokes Remy’s access to new data from that connection.
We use the information described above to:
Remy may use automated and AI-assisted tools to help generate or refine coaching guidance and suggestions based on your financial data. This processing is used solely to improve the relevance of the guidance shown to you inside the app. AI-generated content is informational only and is not personalized financial, tax, or legal advice — see our Terms of Service for more detail.
Remy does not sell your personal information. We share data only with service providers (“subprocessors”) who help us operate the app, under contractual confidentiality and data-protection obligations:
We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect our rights or the safety of our users, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets (with notice to affected users where required).
We use industry-standard safeguards to protect your information, including encryption of sensitive data such as bank connection tokens, access controls, and secure infrastructure providers. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Remy service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time — see our Account Deletion page for details. Some information may remain in backups for a limited period after deletion.
When you create a Remy account, you are asked to affirmatively agree to this Privacy Policy, our Terms of Service, and to Remy processing your data to provide coaching. If you connect a bank account, you separately confirm your consent to that connection via Plaid. You can withdraw consent for a bank connection at any time by disconnecting the account in your Profile, and you can request full account deletion as described above.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date above and, where appropriate, notify you directly (for example, by email or in-app notice).
